The Emergence

 

On the 8th day of May

13 years ago to this day 

the birthing, the unearthing

the submerged has emerged

it starts with an occasional   buzz,

with intermittent 

click, click, clicks

a mechanical chatter

But then it grows into

a super sonic storm

in one afternoon...

The emergence, the resurgence 

the invasion

of Periodical Cicadas is well underway...
